Mondays
10am Sewing School in the classroom with Rachel ages 4-7 $45
Learn the basics of knotting, needle-threading, pinning, running, and whip stitch while completing simple sewing projects such as pincushions, pillows, and stuffies.
10am Gym Games in the Gym with Grace ages 4-7 $35-FULL
Students will learn about taking turns and teamwork while they play several non-contact gym games. Each class will begin with warm up stretches followed by instructions and demonstrations of that week’s game. Then, students will play an active and cooperative gym game where all students are working toward a common goal. These games will include obstacle courses, races against the clock, introductory jump rope or hopscotch, balance games, parachute games, and more. After the game we’ll clean up and do a calming yoga activity.
11am Elementary Spanish in the classroom with Rachel ages 4-7 $35
Learn Spanish greetings, basic questions and answers, colors, counting, and more through classroom instruction, conversations, songs, and stories.
11am Mission to Mars in the Gym with Grace ages 4-7 $45-FULL
In this STEAM Class students become astronauts headed to the planet Mars! Each week there will be a new engineering challenge for students to conquer. These will include designing and launching a straw rocket, constructing and testing a landing craft, coding a robot to navigate the red planet, learning about atmospheric pressure and designing a space suit, growing food in space, and finally, designing a Mars Colony.
12 Itty Bitty Arts and Crafts with Amelia in the Gym ages 3-5 $40
Making various fun and messy crafts for the little ones! Intended for ages 2-5 with parental help sometimes needed for the littlest tots. Play and experiment with paints, clay, and many other materials. Class will last for 30 minutes, and then 20 minutes will be reserved for kids finishing up and freeplay in the gym just for the littlest Hub members!
130pm Minecraft Zoo with Grace in the Classroom ages 4-7 $40- FULL
This class is all about the real world animals that can be found in Minecraft. Students will spend the first half of class learning about 3 or 4 different real world animals. They will gather information to use in the second half of class when they will be in Minecraft Creative Mode designing habitats for those animals.
230pm Elementary Animal Science with Amelia in the Classroom ages 6-9 $40
Learn the first building blocks to animal science! Including animal taxonomy, kingdoms, and tons of fun facts and hands-on crafts and projects for the critter lovers.
Wednesdays
10am Modern Manufacturing in the classroom with Krista ages 8+ $45
Become familiar with various programs to utilize the laser cutter, 3D printer, Silhouette cutter, and more. Students will work at their own pace to utilize computers and design parameters to manufacture projects of their choosing.
11am Tales from the HUB: Podcasting in the classroom with Krista ages 9+ $40
Join us in working on a podcast for the hub! Students will work together in teams to write, record and edit short form podcasts on various topics.
12 Project Greek Mythology in the classroom with Krista ages 8+ $45
Each week we will learn a different Greek Myth and complete a part of a cumulative book nook project across the 6-week class.
130pm Theatre in the classroom with Cheryle ages 8+ $40-FULL
230pm Minecraft Zoo in the classroom with Grace ages 8+ -FULL
This class is all about the real world animals that can be found in Minecraft. Students will select an animal then spend the first 20 minutes of class researching and completing a detailed animal report worksheet. Once they have that worksheet complete they will log into Minecraft Creative Mode to design a habitat for their animal. We will be working with Minecraft Java Edition in our own Realm.

10am-11:50am Advanced Modern Manufacturing in the classroom with Krista (by approval only) $80
Ready for the next step in your 3d printing journey? This is the class for you! Move beyond TinkerCad to other modeling programs. Learn the ins and outs of the printing process, and help us hack and customize the new-to-us printers!
11am Watercolor Art in the gym with Britney ages 5+ $45- FULL
12pm DIY Robots in the classroom with Jody ages 8+ $45
Have you wanted to experiment with robots and microcontrollers? Play around with programming? This might be the class for you. Bring your project, ideas, or just enthusiasm to the lightly structured class.
This class will be an experiment in having independent study on this theme. It will be student led with them picking what they want to work on and help each other with ideas and troubleshooting. I’ll have a project going each week they can choose to do for inspiration. Some things we can try out are turning ordinary things into keyboards, making a pneumatic gripper, and programming lights and sensors with an Arduino.
12pm 3D Art in the gym with Britney ages 5+ $45
130pm Cooking with Math in the classroom with Amelia ages 6-9 $50
Fixing simple snacks and meals at the Hub while learning the math that goes into cooking. Kids will learn measuring, mixing, and more! Please let us know if your child has any food allergies or sensitivities so we can adjust recipes appropriately.
130pm Winter Crafts in the gym with Britney ages 5+ $35
230pm Elementary Music in the classroom with Amelia ages 6-9 $40
Learn all about music terms and techniques, various kinds of instruments, and music culture and history! Enjoy learning musical foundations while having a lot of silly fun!
230pm Sewing Machines for Absolute Beginners in the Gym with Grace age 5+ (adult learners welcome) $40
Do you or your child want to learn how to use a sewing machine but you’re not sure where to start? Learn how to use a sewing machine from the absolute beginning. We’ll learn new skills while making a 9 patch pillow.
Fridays
10am Interactive Reading/Literature Notebook in the Classroom with Grace 8+ $35
What to get more out of book studies? Sign up to create an interactive notebook! In this class students will piece together a notebook that can be used as a reading and literature resource for upper elementary and middle school grades. Students will learn how to identify and explain elements of plot, types of conflict, story devices, character traits & characterization, themes, point of view, and several literary devices.
10am More Folktales in the Gym with Jason ages 4-7 $35
Each week students will hear a tale and do a related game, craft, or activity.
11am Kid Fit in the Gym with Jason ages 4-7 $35
This active class will be a mix of learning exercise movements like jumping jacks, bear crawl, squatting a PVC pipe “barbell” and foam “weights” and lifting light soft-sand kettlebell. There will also be some fun, classic physical games like duck, duck, goose, hot potato, and relay races, as well as time for free play.
